BAKERSFIELD. CALIF, (KERO) — Local veteran opens first Veteran Chamber of Commerce in Kern County
Edward S Robinson aims to support small businesses in Kern County with a focus on prioritizing veteran-owned businesses through the provision of technical assistance, psychoeducational support, and social service referrals.

Edward S Robinson, a local veteran, has started the first Veteran Chamber of Commerce in Kern County.
Robinson served as a soldier in the United States Army, as an Infantryman from 2004 to 2012 and wants to give back to fellow veterans, the way that other veterans have supported him.
The Chamber offers technical assistance with initially starting a business, as well as certification support with become a registered Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) with the CA Office of General Services, and/or certification as a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), or Service-Connected Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SCDVOSB) with the Small Business Administration (SBA) virtually, as well as in-person.
All small businesses are invited to become members of the KCVCC to access the many benefits of membership. Technical assistance is provided to veterans at no-cost.
